Porcelain Lamps by Jacqui Roche
Jacqui completed her degree in Three Dimensional Art and Design – specialising in Ceramics & Metalwork – at the University of Brighton in 1987. She has since worked from studios around London selling her individually thrown ceramics to: The Conran Shop, Margaret Howell (London & Tokyo) Designers Guild, Summerill & Bishop, Anthropology (Kings Road) Couverture & The Garb Store… amongst others. In 2002 Jacqui decided to focus on teaching children the skills of working with clay.
These beautiful lampshades are made from white porcelain clay and thrown by Jacqui’s own hand. The porcelain is fired to 1260 ͦC which produces a gorgeous, luminous, translucent finish.
